Corrections

Tell us about a possible error or incorrect match.

Public records, open-web sources, and identity matching can be incomplete or change over time. If something in a report may be wrong, send it to us for review.

A review does not guarantee a change, removal, particular outcome, or fixed response time.

What to send

Include enough context—not sensitive data.

  • The email used at checkout or sign-in, so support can locate the right account or report.
  • The report link or report ID, if you have it.
  • The section and specific statement, record, or match you want reviewed.
  • A brief explanation of why it may be wrong, plus a public source link or relevant documentation if available.

Do not email Social Security numbers, payment card details, passwords, government ID images, or unrelated sensitive information. If we need more context, support can ask for it.

What review means

A focused look at the item you identify.

  1. 01

    Send the report context

Email support with enough information to locate the report and understand the specific item you want reviewed.

  2. 02

    We review the concern

Support may compare the item with the report, the sources checked, and available provider context. We may ask for clarification if it is needed.

  3. 03

We determine the appropriate next step

Depending on what the review shows and what our systems allow, a confirmed issue may be corrected, clarified, or removed from a report.

Review is not a re-investigation of the person in the report, a background-screening appeal, or a guarantee that a third-party source will change its records.

Correction or deletion

Choose the request that fits your concern.

Report correction

Use this process when a particular statement, possible match, or source detail in a report may be inaccurate. Identify the item so the review can stay focused.

Account or report deletion

A deletion request concerns information stored by TheTeaReport. It does not erase a record from a court, registry, publisher, search engine, or other original source. See our privacy policy for available privacy choices.

Source limitations

Some issues begin with the original source.

TheTeaReport cannot change court records, public registries, publisher pages, or third-party databases. If an original source is inaccurate, you may also need to contact that source. Even after a source is updated, changes may not appear everywhere immediately.

A source not returning a record does not prove that no record exists, and a name similarity does not prove that a record belongs to the person searched. Our methodology explains how we communicate those limits.
