Clear expectations
Know what a report can—and can't—do.
Useful context should come with clear boundaries. We put them here so you know exactly what to expect.
- TheTeaReport currently supports searches for people in the United States only.
- Available records and web sources can be incomplete, delayed, sealed, outdated, or connected to a different person with a similar name.
- A report can add personal context about an adult, but it cannot prove that someone is safe or predict what they will do.
- TheTeaReport is not a consumer reporting agency and may not be used for employment, housing, tenant, credit, insurance, or other FCRA-covered decisions.
Good to know
A few helpful answers.
Will I get the same report with either option?
Yes. The report itself is the same. You’re simply choosing how many reports you want and whether you prefer one-time or monthly billing.
Which option is the better value?
The $10/month membership is the best value: it costs $5 less than the one-time option and includes up to 4 reports each month. It renews monthly until canceled. Choose the $15 single report if you prefer no recurring billing.
Can I cancel the membership anytime?
Memberships renew monthly until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the account page and keep your remaining reports through the end of the current billing period.
Can I search before I pay?
Yes. Search and refine your match first. You’ll choose a plan before the full report is generated, and refining your search does not use a report credit.
What if a report can’t be generated?
If a report fails during generation, the report credit is returned automatically.
Who can I look up?
You can look up any adult in the United States for permitted personal, informational purposes—including potential-partner research.
Know more before you move forward.
Start with a search. You'll choose a plan after you find the person you want to look up—and before a full report is created.
