What does this username search check?
It checks the expected public profile URL on 47 social, messaging, creator, entertainment, and community platforms using direct public responses.
Does a found username prove it is the same person?
No. Different people can use the same handle on different sites. Treat a match as a lead and compare public photos, location, biography, work, and timing before drawing a conclusion.
What does a possible result mean?
Possible means a public signal supports a profile lead, but stronger confirmation is still missing. Blocked, timed-out, login-only, and inconclusive checks appear separately as Could not verify. They are not profile matches.
Can I search a Mastodon account?
Yes. Enter the full Mastodon handle, such as @name@mastodon.social, to check that account on its server. A full Mastodon handle checks one account; a regular username searches the listed platforms and does not search every Mastodon server.
What does conflicting evidence mean?
The current public profile check and a public search index disagree. An index may still list a renamed or deleted page. These checks are kept separate from profile leads and cannot be selected for a report.
Can a username lookup find private accounts?
No. Private, renamed, deleted, login-only, and unindexed profiles may not appear. A result describes only what the checked public sources returned at that moment.
Does this username search check dating apps?
No. Major dating apps generally do not provide stable public username profile URLs or an exact-person search that this tool can check safely. The scanner does not access member-only dating profiles.
